EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – As heavy rained moved through Western Wisconsin, the chance for flooding increased in many areas.

The Eau Claire Police Department said they've been receiving reports of man-hole covers coming off across the city Saturday night. Police say that's not unusual with heavy rain but they're still urging people to drive carefully.

They also got reports of cars stalling at intersections. Be sure to give yourself room when you drive and avoid the roads if you can. Because of high call volume, officers say it's best to call a tow-truck if you have a cell phone available.

In La Crosse County, a dispatcher with the sheriff's department told us there's getting several reports about trees down by roads and hanging power lines. They're also getting reports about flooding in the city of La Crosse. They're urging people in that area to drive with care.
