Power outage planned for Luck area on May 10

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A planned power outage will affect nearly 900 homes and businesses.

Xcel Energy plans to interrupt service to customers in and around Luck on Saturday. It will happen between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., and may last longer than that depending on the working conditions. The company says it needs to maintain its substation to make sure power in the area is safe and reliable.

If there is severe weather in the area, the outage will be rescheduled for May 17.
