EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Dozens of customers in Thorp have their power back after an outage Friday morning.

City Administrator Randy Reeg says a semi was headed to a lumber yard to make a delivery around 10 a.m. Friday morning. That's when it snapped a power pole in half on N. Lincoln Street, and brought wires down. Thorp police responded.

Xcel Energy says the outage affected nearly 175 customers in the area. As of 11:45 a.m. Friday, power had been restored to all but one customer.
