Property taxes due Wednesday in Eau Claire Co.

(WEAU) - If you haven't paid the second installment of your property taxes, you only have a couple days left.

Taxes are due Wednesday, July 31st. Eau Claire County Treasurer Larry Lokken says already people have lined up to make sure they get their payment in on time. Lokken says payments can be made at the courthouse or sent by mail.

"We are starting to have lines right now. We will get a lot of people in here on the last day and then we get a lot of mail on August 1st of people paying and that's ok because it's got the postmark on it," Lokken told us.

If payments are made after the deadline, a 10.5% interest charge will be added.
