Puppies injured with bleach now up for adoption

FOND DU LAC, Wis. Two puppies injured with bleach in Fond du Lac are ready to go home with a loving family.

The puppies gained attention when one was found in a plastic bag in a trash container last month.

Police say a boy dumped bleach on the two puppies because one of them was biting his feet.

The boy's mother is charged with failing to take action after learning about the injured dogs.

The puppies suffered burns and eye ulcers. The puppy found in the trash had lung damage.

Both are now available for adoption.
