TOWN OF LAFAYETTE, Wis. (WEAU) - People in a Chippewa County community now have a new recreation building to enjoy.
A ribbon cutting was held Monday for the new Town of Lafayette Recreation Building. The building is behind the current town hall. It offers people in the community and youth sports teams access to permanent restrooms, a new concession stand, and a warming house.
"The trail users will have a warming house and access to the trail system whether its cross county skiing, snowshoeing, or just walking on it," said Town Chairman David Staber. "We'll have bathrooms, an outdoor water fountain a little better than we had before."
