(WEAU) - Republican U.S. Representative Sean Duffy paid a visit to the Chippewa Valley to speak to supporters Wednesday.
He stopped at the Republican Victory Center in Altoona where he worked to debunk democratic claims about Congressman Paul Ryan's plans for Medicare. Duffy says Medicare will stay the same for seniors, and President Obama's health care bill will force greater changes on seniors.
He says he's trying to fight the misinformation that's been spread since Ryan was announced as Mitt Romney's running mate. Duffy told us "since Congressman Ryan was selected, we're seeing the administration push pretty hard on Medicare and we're not going to take it. We're going to tell the truth about what happened with his health care plan."
Duffy is facing Democrat Pat Kreitlow in November's election.
