MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Republican Governors Association has released its second attack ad against Democrat Mary Burke in the Wisconsin governor's race.
The ad released Monday is similar to the first one released by the RGA last month in that it focuses on Burke's time spent as state commerce secretary under Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle.
Burke is challenging Republican Gov. Scott Walker this year. She served as Commerce Department secretary from 2005 to 2007 and is also a former executive at Trek Bicycle Corp., a company founded by her father.
The RGA ads are the first this year in the governor's race. The group has not said how much they are spending on the ads, but the liberal group One Wisconsin Now says it has spent $1.2 million on the spots.
