The Packers and Steelers play Sunday at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. Kickoff is set for 3:25 p.m.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WEAU) -- Aaron Rodgers has not been medically cleared to take the field Sunday, although he did take part in Wednesday practice.
Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy made the announcement about the Packers quarterback during his news conference Wednesday afternoon. He said Rodgers looked sharp and is getting better, but that the team is taking a similar approach to last week. Rodgers was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. McCarthy declined to detail further plans for Rodgers' evaluation for the rest of the week.
McCarthy went on to say that the team is being smart with Running Back Eddie Lacy, who did not practice Wednesday. Wide Receiver Randall Cobb was back at practice as a limited participant. In October, the team placed Cobb on injured reserve/designated for return after he hurt his knee during the Packers' 19-17 win over Baltimore.
The Packers could win the NFC North Division with wins against Pittsburgh Sunday and at Chicago on December 29. "It's a game we have to have," McCarthy said about Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. "This is about the next opportunity."
