SKYWARN 13: Full plow operation underway in Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - The City of Eau Claire has started a full plow operation to clear the heavy snowfall that we've received.

As of about noon Monday, Skywarn 13 meteorologists have measured about seven inches of snow on the ground in Eau Claire.

The city says its plowing is expected to be finished by 1 a.m. Tuesday. It will also start an alternate side cleanup at midnight. The city encourages people who have to park on the street to park on the even side of the street overnight.

From the City of Eau Claire website:

Snow Update 3/11/13: A full plow operation has begun and is expected to be completed by 1 a.m., Tuesday morning, March 12. An alternate side cleanup operation will begin at midnight this evening. If you must park on the street this evening, be sure to park on the EVEN side, where permitted.

Roads are snow covered and slippery. Please take extra time during you morning and evening commutes, and give plow operators the time and space they need to complete their assigned routes safely. Thank you!
