SURVEY: Women rising and not shining in the morning

(WEAU) – Have you ever woken up grumpy in the morning? A recent survey asked, are women or men grumpier in the morning?

The survey done by the makers of Zombie Underground Gaming App asked 2,000 adults in London who is grumpier in the morning. It revealed that women are grumpier than men when the wake up.

The survey also found that more than 1/2 of those surveyed says women can’t talk to anyone before 8am.

The survey even shared that 1/3 of women dodged conversation with their colleagues in the morning and that 1/5 of women ignored their kids in the early hours.

WEAU’s Courtney Everett surveyed 20 workers at WEAU, that included 12 men and 8 women. 65% of people say they disagree with the survey, while 35% agree. Interestingly enough, only 2 women out of those surveyed agreed, which included Anchor Judy Clark and Assignment Editor Heidi Bohl.

Meanwhile, we asked on our WEAU Facebook page for our viewers to weigh in on the conversation. We asked, “Do you agree that women wake up grumpier than men and why you think so?”

David says, “Because they have to deal with us”

Kat says, “Because we go to bed late while we finish things for the day. Then, the kids wake us up. The husband snores.”

Dave says, “Because they always wake up on the wrong side of the bed.”

Stephanie says, “Because we get less sleep. My husband snores and hogs the bed. Most nights to get any sleep, I end up on the couch.”

Joseph says, “I do not agree because I know I am not a morning person and my wife has a smile on her face every time she leaves for work.”

Mellissa says, “It’s because women deal with a lot more stuff during the day. Kids, housework, they wake up knowing what kind of day they will have before their feet even hit the floor.”
