EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A court has approved the sale of the former Ramada Hotel in downtown Eau Claire to a Minneapolis firm.
Court records show that the sale of the building back to lender Dougherty Funding was confirmed Thursday. The company bought the building on S. Barstow St. in Eau Claire at a foreclosure sale on December 3 for $1,450,000. That was the third foreclosure sale involving the building in a span of about three months. The hotel had remained open, with S&L Hospitality of Verona running it as the Eau Claire Hotel and Convention Center. It closed the hotel last month.
The City of Eau Claire owns the adjacent parking ramp, which remains open.
