RIVER FALLS, Wis. (AP) -- The Wisconsin home where a man killed his three daughters last year will be going up for auction next month.
A St. Paul Pioneer Press report (http://bit.ly/19XmKVw ) says Aaron Schaffhausen's home in River Falls went into foreclosure after he stopped making payments following his arrest. He owed $181,000 through January.
The St. Croix (kroy') County sheriff's office says the home will be auctioned Aug. 13.
Schaffhausen, of Minot, N.D., admitted killing the three girls last year. They were 11, 8 and 5 years old. Jurors who convicted him agreed he suffered from a mental defect at the time, but they concluded it didn't prevent him from knowing what he did was wrong.
He's scheduled to be sentenced July 15.
