Search for swimmer turns to recovery

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (AP) -- Rescue workers who have been searching Lake Michigan for a missing swimmer near Port Washington say they're now dealing with a recovery mission.

Tyler Buczek (BOO'-shek) was swimming with friends Sunday when he disappeared. The 14-year-old was to begin high school Tuesday and was the quarterback for the school's freshman football team.

Authorities scoured the waters Sunday with no luck. They resumed the search Monday, saying they were now looking for the boy's body.

Divers were searching locations where sonar had detected a number of objects. However, a WITI-TV report (http://bit.ly/PXdFDQ ) says the visibility is low because of rough water conditions.

Officials planned to search the lake until they find the body or until dusk falls.

Port Washington is about 25 miles north of Milwaukee.
