SEATTLE (AP) -- Seattle police have identified a man arrested in a shooting at a small university that left one person dead and another critically wounded.

Police say 26-year-old Aaron R. Ybarra was booked Thursday into the King County Jail for investigation of murder in the shooting at Seattle Pacific University.

Police say a man with a shotgun and knife opened fire at a campus building. They say a student building monitor subdued the gunman with pepper spray as he tried to reload. Police say the man under arrest is not a student at the school.

A 19-year-old man died at Harborview Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman says a 20-year-old woman remains in critical condition after hours of surgery. Another man is hospitalized in satisfactory condition. A fourth person was treated and released.
