Greenfield, WIS. (WEAU)-Several juveniles were cited after running away from a crash.
The La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department says it happened on Monday morning around 2 a.m. on Kammel Coulee Road off County M in Greenfield. That’s south of La Crosse. Deputies say four juveniles were in a vehicle going southbound on Kammel Coulee Road when it left the road and crashed. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived. The four fled the scene but were later found.
The operator of the vehicle was cited for failure to have control of a vehicle, failure to notify police of a crash, and for operating a motor vehicle after having his license suspended. Five underage drinking tickets were issued, however, alcohol was not a contributing factor to the crash.
