Sex offender to be released in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A man convicted of sexual assault in 2008 is about to be released into the community.

The La Crosse Police Department said Billy Cade Jr., 25, will live at 809 Rose Street in La Crosse starting Tuesday. Cade was convicted of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in October 2008. Investigators say he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, and threatened to hurt them.

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections will supervise Cade through GPS monitoring.
