LADYSMITH, Wis. (WEAU) -- A police department is notifying the community about the release of a convicted sex offender.

The Ladysmith Police Department says Jeremey Woodmansee, 31, is being released Tuesday. He'll live at 402 1/2 Fritz Ave. in Ladysmith. Officers say the Department of Corrections believes Woodmansee could "present a risk to re-offend." The department will monitor him with an electronic device, and he'll have to follow several of the department's rules for sex offenders.

Woodmansee was convicted of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in Rusk County in 2001.
