(WEAU) - Eau Claire County Sheriff Ron Cramer has won a lawsuit against Eau Claire County that will prevent the county from taking extra wages for retirement funds.
Cramer filed the lawsuit in Chippewa County after Eau Claire County passed an ordinance earlier this year that required county employees to contribute more to their retirement funds. Cramer said he was exempt from the ordinance because he's an elected official.
His attorney says the reductions in salary won't take place until next term.
