Shooting suspect identified
WESTON, Wis. (WEAU) – We now know the name of the man suspected of shooting and killing his girlfriend on Saturday.
On Monday morning, officers identified the man as Richi Vue, 21. He is not charged in the case.
Police responded to an apartment on Aspen Street in Weston Saturday night, and found the body of Lee Xiong, 20. She died of a single gunshot wound.
Investigators determined what Vue’s truck looked like. They found it going west near Abbotsford. The driver took off when officers tried to pull him over. The truck was later found in a wooded area on Pine Road near Meadow Drive. Marathon County and Clark County deputies searched the area. They arrested Vue around 1:30 a.m. Sunday without incident. Two handguns were also recovered.
Vue remains in jail. Officers say he made some admissions regarding the case when he was interviewed.
