Ski Club offers free lessons on "Learn to ski day"

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)- The Eau Claire Flying Eagles Ski Club is preparing Mount Washington Hill for their "learn to ski" day coming up on Saturday, December 28th. Kids ages 4 to 12 are invited to come out for a free fun family day activity.

The free ski lessons with instructors are from 10 am until 6 pm. New skiers will begin on the small slopes and may progress to a small jump if desired.

"It's a fantastic time for kids to come on out, try to give their hands in ski and we first are not taking them off the ski jump, we are just having them do down small hills and learn the basics of skiing. There is no need to bring any equipment or anything, we'll have the helmets, the boots, the skis you name it so we'll be ready for that, just have your cold weather gear on and they should have a fantastic time,” Dan Mattoon with the Flying Eagles Ski Club said.

Reservations are required to participate so please call in advance at (715) 552-1428. You can also email your name, children’s names and ages, boot sizes, phone number and time preference to FESkiClub@gmail.com.
