"Snowplow Driver Appreciation Day" Monday in Wisconsin

(WEAU) – With winter at our doorstep, the governor asked people to take a moment to say "thank you" to our snowplow drivers.

That’s because Monday was "Snowplow Driver Appreciation Day" in Wisconsin. Governor Walker is asking everyone to be ready for winter driving conditions and remember to be careful when we come across snowplows on the road.

State law requires drivers to be at least 200 feet behind a working snowplow.

Drivers can get the latest road conditions by calling 511.
