Sparta clinic closes due to water damage

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A clinic is closing for at least the rest of this week because of water damage.

Gundersen Health System made the announcement about Gundersen Sparta Clinic on Tuesday. The manager says melting snow from the roof backed up into the clinic. That's because a pipe connected to a city sewer line was frozen. The lobby of the clinic and several exam rooms and offices are damaged.

The clinic apologized for any inconvenience to patients, and said it hopes to re-open next week. Scheduled patients can be seen at the Gundersen Tomah Clinic. They can also have labs drawn at either the Gundersen Tomah or Onalaska Clinics.
