SPARTA, Wis. (WEAU) -- Sparta police are looking for two suspects that fled on foot after methamphetamine and Heroin were found in a vehicle.
Sparta Police Department attempted to make a driving infraction stop in Sparta around 3:30 am Sunday morning. The vehicle refused to stop, which lead to a pursuit reaching speeds of 60 miles per hour in the city limits.
The vehicle eventually stopped on 500 block of Wisconsin Street. The driver and two out of three passengers ran from the vehicle.
Police apprehended the driver, 33-year-ol Travis Wehmanen, who had several warrants for his arrest, and did not possess a valid driver’s license. Wehmanen had Methamphetamine and Heroin in his possession at the time of the arrest. He remains in custody at the Monroe County Jail.
Police also apprehended the passenger that stayed with the vehicle, identified as 38-year-old Wanda Kessen. She is expected to be charged with possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia.
22-year-old Mirika Stuhr and the third passenger, that has not yet been identified, are still at large.
Stuhr is expected to be charged with possession of prescription medication without a prescription and drug paraphernalia.
