Republican businessman Bob Kulp of Stratford, and Republican Scott Noble of Marshfield, who once served on the city council, both say they plan to run for the open seat. Clark County Republican party chair Deb Koncel had planned to run. On Wednesday, she said she would withdraw from the race.
MADISON, Wis. (WEAU) -- The governor has released a timetable for a special election to determine the next 69th Assembly District Representative.
On Wednesday, Governor Scott Walker announced that there will be a special election on November 19. He says the circulation of nomination papers will go from September 4 until September 24. If a primary election is needed, that would be held on October 22.
Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) resigned as of Tuesday afternoon to take a position in Governor Walker's administration.
