St. John’s church to rebuild

(WEAU) - The pastor of a church that burned down in January says they will rebuild.

Pastor John Toppe says St. John's Lutheran Church will be rebuilt just north of where it was located on County Road W, north of Colfax. He says some re-zoning will have to be done, so there is no timeline set yet.

Pastor Toppe says a member of the parish is donating the farmland that it will be built on.

He says they have started to talk to an architect and have preliminary ideas. The new building will likely be one story, whereas the previous building was two.
