Stanley man charged with illegal possession of ammunition

STANLEY, Wis. (RELEASE) -- Curtis Nitz, 21, Stanley, Wis., is charged with being an unlawful user of methamphetamine in possession of ammunition.

The indictment alleges that he possessed 39 rounds of .338 caliber ammunition on October 11, 2013.

If convicted, Nitz faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison.

The charge against him is the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department.
