EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- State Senator Kathleen Vinehout was in downtown Eau Claire Tuesday night celebrating women's small businesses.
The Western Dairyland Women's Business Center hosted an event to celebrate national women's small business month at Houligan's Steak & Seafood Pub.
Vinehout and successful entrepreneur Sam Zordich gave speeches to the crowd.
Vinehout says it's good to see so much enthusiasm for an event about women starting and running their own businesses
"I'm very excited to see so many women own businesses in so many different areas especially here in the Eau Claire area. Some of those women are coming tonight to tell their story and to encourage other women."
Vinehout has been rumored to be interested in a run for governor.
We asked her about it Tuesday night, and she told us she hasn't made a decision, but she is getting close.
