Storm causes power outage in Eau Claire

Power was out for parts of Eau Claire on Saturday after a storm went through.

Xcel Energy spokesperson Liz Wolf Green said 1,253 customers were without power just before 4 p.m. after a tree branch broke and fell on a power line.

It happened at the intersection of White and Anderson Streets. Power was restored by about 4:40 p.m.

In Menomonie, she said 1,046 customers lost power. at around 3:00 p.m. Power was restored by 5:45 p.m.
