EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Students from all over the Chippewa Valley had the chance to learn about career opportunities in the tourism industry Wednesday.

Junior Achievement of Northwest Wisconsin and Visit Eau Claire hosted the fourth annual Hospitality and Tourism Day at Metropolis Resort.

More than 50 students from Black River Falls, Colfax and Alma Center High Schools participated.

"The kids need to know about the dollar amounts that get brought into the area from tourism so that is very important," says organizer Heidi Cooper.

Students learned about career opportunities and what skills are needed to get a job.
