(WEAU) La Crosse- It’s Super Bowl weekend, and businesses all around are getting prepared for the festivities.
No matter which bar you choose, there’s likely going to be something fun happening for the Super Bowl.
At John’s on 4th street, there will be bands, food, drink specials and raffles.
“We have some unbelievable prizes. We have a golf membership at Drugens for a year, and a week stay at a hotel in Phoenix," said Eric Lemon, Bar Manager at Johns.
Right next door to Johns, the Dublin Irish Pub is having its first Super Bowl party. Bar workers say their party will be unique, as they’re doing a musical chair giveaway.
“It's called Dublin Style Musical Chairs. After the 3rd quarter we will play Irish music with envelopes under the chairs. The envelopes can have anything from a drink chip, to 100 dollars in cash," said Matt Boshcka, Co Owner of Dublin Irish Pub.
Whether you plan to wear blue, red, or green, if the bar’s aren’t your scene, consider putting together a simple cheese tray. Or you can buy one from your local grocery store. It may add the spice needed for your home party.
“Last year was directed towards Packer fans. This year it’s directed more towards the football fan,” said Festival Foods Assistant Store Director, Bruce Hracak.
With the nice weather, grocery stores are selling as many grilling items as they are cakes.
“More brat buns, hamburger buns, were bulking those up a bit. We still have the regular cookies and cakes," said Hracak.
