MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Deputies arrested a suspect in a domestic disturbance near Menomonie at a home near Durand.
The Dunn County Sheriff's Office says it responded to a home on 420th Avenue, southeast of Menomonie, on Thursday. Joshua Hoover, 35, had reportedly broke his wife's phone. Deputies say the situation had calmed down when they got the call, but shortly after that, Hoover broke the bedroom door and got his truck keys from the bedroom. He went outside, and she followed. Deputies say he then took a gun from his truck, loaded it, and fired two shots in the air before driving off. He was found at a home near Durand late Friday morning.
Hoover is in the Dunn County Jail. No charges have been filed in the case.
