NEW INFORMATION: Suspects in Clark County mailbox vandalism confess

NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Two men suspected in recent mailbox vandalism near Neillsville have confessed.

On Tuesday, the Clark County Sheriff's Office announced that the suspects admitted to damaging nearly 40 mailboxes. The department received reports of the damage on March 5. It happened on March 4 and March 5 in the Town of Weston, Pine Valley, Levis, and Hewett. The department has not identified the suspects. Investigators say matching evidence at the scene led them to the suspects. The suspects live in Neillsville. Captain James Hirsch says the department is confident that the two men are the only ones who were involved in the crimes.
