EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Troopers are suggesting drivers avoid a stretch of Interstate 94 east because of a traffic backup.
A construction zone is again to blame for the delays on I-94 east at U.S. Highway 10. The Wisconsin State Patrol says they started around 12:30 p.m. Monday. As of about 4:30 p.m. Monday, the backup had stretched to more than five miles.
The state patrol encourages drivers to take an alternate route. The same stretch of freeway was the scene of multiple backups earlier this month. The state patrol said those backups were also due to construction in the area.
