EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- As of about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, the Wisconsin State Patrol says the delays on I-94 east near Osseo have cleared up.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) --Traffic is snarled at an Interstate 94 construction zone for the second time this week.

On Thursday afternoon, the Wisconsin State Patrol reported delays of more than three miles on I-94 east near Osseo. They started around 1 p.m. Thursday, and could last for more than two hours. The state patrol says it's because of construction in the area.

Troopers say many drivers are merging into one lane before the construction begins which leads to traffic slowing down.
In light of the recent backups and delays, troopers say they will be adding extra patrols to keep traffic moving through the area.

On Monday afternoon, the state patrol reported similar delays on the same stretch of freeway. It started around 12:30 p.m. and lasted until after 7 p.m.

The State Patrol says if you are planning to travel in that direction in the coming weeks, plan for a little bit of extra time should delays happen. They say there is no word yet on when construction will be complete in the area.
