NEW INFORMATION: Driver hurt in semi crash

Wisconsin DOT: Both lanes of I-94 eastbound are now open near Roberts in St. Croix County. However, traffic continues to move slowly through the area and the work zone. Motorists should prepare for backups.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WISCONSIN STATE PATROL NEWS RELEASE) - At 8:50 AM on Monday May 13, 2013 a crash occurred on I-94 EB at WIS 65 in ST. CROIX County near ROBERTS.

Assisting agencies included Roberts PD, Hammond PD, St. Croix SO, Roberts Fire Dept..

The crash involved 1 injury. Vehicle and occupant information, if available, is on attached page(s).

The details of the crash are as follows:

Unit one was eastbound on I-94, when it lost control causing the unit to overturn blocking all eastbound lanes. Traffic was re-routed for approximately one hour. Driver was transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Crash remains under investigation by Wisconsin State Patrol.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Crews have shut down all eastbound lanes of I-94 because of a traffic crash.

It happened near Roberts around 8:50 a.m. Monday. A release from the Wisconsin State Patrol does not specify how many vehicles were involved, or whether anyone was hurt.

The agency suggests that drivers heading east on I-94 in that area take State Highway 65 north to U.S. Highway 12 east. Then they should go south on State Highway 63 to get back to I-94 east.

The state patrol estimates the freeway will be blocked off for more than two hours.
