By  |

ROCHESTER, Minn. (MNDOT NEWS RELEASE) — Motorists on Highway 16 north of Hokah will encounter a lane closure and automated traffic lights beginning today (July 9) through mid-morning on Monday, July 14 as crews repair a bridge deck, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The location of the work is in Houston County about 1.3 miles north of the Highway 16 junction with Highway 44 in Hokah.

Traffic will be controlled with automated traffic lights for the safety for motorists and workers and to allow traffic across the bridge during the work.

With this project, MnDOT is working to preserve an efficient and effective transportation system.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work and emergency zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
