TRAFFIC ALERT: Crews to shut down freeway lanes near Osseo for $4,000,000 road project

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- UPDATE: The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says because of the rain, the project has been delayed until the week of May 5th.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) --A construction project will soon have crews blocking off a lane of Interstate 94 in either direction for most of the next eleven weeks.

On Tuesday, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said crews will repair and replace concrete on I-94 about a mile west of Osseo at County Road NN. Workers will start the project on May 1 and will continue the work until July 17. The single-lane closures will be between 6 a.m. Monday and Friday at 9 a.m.

The project will cost $4,000,000.
