TRAFFIC ALERT: Highway to be blocked off as crews work on Chetek rail crossing

BARRON, Wis. (WEAU) -- Crews plan to shut down a stretch of highway as they work on a railroad crossing in Chetek this week.

In a Barron County Sheriff's Office news release, the county's highway department announced that Progressive Rail will do the work starting Monday. It will continue until July 11. County Road D will be blocked off during the project.

The county recommends that drivers use County Road SS, Parker Drive, and Railroad Avenue as a detour.
BARRON, Wis. (BARRON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE) -- The Barron County Highway Department has issued a press release that Progressive Rail will be working on the rail crossing in Chetek on CTH D from Monday, July 7, 2014, to Friday, July 11, 2014.

This work will require CTH D to be closed for the duration of the work. It is recommended that traffic utilize CTH SS, Parker Drive, and Railroad Avenue as the detour while Progressive Rail performs the work on this crossing.
