EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NEWS RELEASE) -- UPDATE: The Wisconsin State Patrol says I-94 near Osseo has re-opened after being closed for several hours because of a crash involving about 10 semis.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is responding to several crashes on I-94 westbound that has forced the closure of the interstate near Osseo.
Vehicles are being re-routed off of I-94 at Osseo onto US 10 onto US 53 north. Approximately ten semis are involved and blocking lanes. One injury crash is being reported at this time. Highway crews continue to do the best they can to keep up, but motorists are being strongly encouraged to not travel unless absolutely necessary.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) --Crews have now blocked off Interstate 94 west near the scene of "numerous traffic incidents" that are near Osseo.
One crash happened near the County Road HH exit near Foster around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Traffic is being detoured at the County Road HH exit, led west to U.S. Highway 53, and then north back to I-94.
A tweet from the Northwest Region of Wisconsin 511 says that nearly 10 semis are involved in crashes near Osseo and Foster, and that "I94 mess in the area. AVOID."
