Traffic is now flowing once again on I-94 in Eau Claire County, after an overnight semi crash and fire.
The Wisconsin DOT says it happened at 2:05 a.m. Friday on westbound I-94, near mile post 63 in Eau Claire.
Troopers say the semi driver told them he dropped something and while reaching for the item, he hit the guardrail in a construction zone. After hitting that guardrail, troopers say the semi hit the cement barriers between the eastbound and westbound lanes and started on fire.
The driver was not hurt and the Wisconsin State Patrol says no other vehicles were involved.
Traffic on westbound I-94 was rerouted for several hours, but has since reopened.
