NEW INFORMATION: Woman killed in crash on Highway 27

CADOTT, Wis. (WEAU) -- UPDATE: A woman was killed in a crash on Highway 27, north of Cadott, Monday morning.

The Chippewa County Sheriff says a 34-year-old woman from Cornell died in the rollover crash at Highway 27 and 170th Avenue. The Sheriff says the woman was driving the vehicle and was the only person involved.

Lanes were blocked for nearly two hours, but reopened around 10:30 a.m.

There's no word on what caused the crash and the woman's name has not been released.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says it happened around 8:40 a.m. Monday at highway 27 and 170th Avenue. It says the highway could be closed for more than two hours. Crews are flagging traffic at the scene.

There's no immediate word on how many vehicles were involved, or whether anyone was hurt.
