NEW INFORMATION: Technology education teacher resigns amid citation

NEWS RELEASE-High School teacher Larry Weissinger resigned from his position as Ladysmith High School Technology Education teacher Wednesday night. The board of education approved his resignation at a special board of education meeting. Weissinger was ticketed earlier this month for an alleged disorderly conduct incident in his classroom on Friday January 6, 2012.

LADYSMITH (WEAU) - A high school teacher has been cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly kicking a student during class.
Ladysmith Police Chief Al Lobermeier says Larry Weissinger, 53, a Ladysmith High School Technology Education Teacher, allegedly kicked a 17 year old boy in the backside during a class last Friday morning. He says the two also yelled at each other after the incident. The student was not cited.
The district administrator says Weissinger is currently on administrative leave without pay.
