BARRON, Wis. (WEAU)-- A Barron County man charged in connection with the death of another man has been sentenced.

Online court records show 18-year-old Dorien Hash, of Barron, was sentenced to three years probation and one year in the county jail, with credit for time served. That means he will spend four more months in jail.

The judge also ruled the maximum sentence of one and a half years initial confinement and two years extended supervision will be imposed if hash fails on probation.

Back in June of last year, the Barron County Sheriff's Department says Hash gave 18-year-old Alex Hill a hazardous substance at a party. Hill was later hit and killed by a semi as he ran into its path on Highway 8 near Cameron.
