Teen gets 10 years in prison for aggravated battery

(WEAU) - A teen charged with beating and stabbing a woman, and then leaving her on the side of the road is heading to prison.

Court documents show Juan Castro, 19, of Ladysmith was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 5 years of extended supervision. He was convicted of a felony aggravated battery charge in February. Castro and Christina Dixon were charged with beating and stabbing a Ladysmith woman and leaving her on the side of the road in May 2011.

Dixon is serving a 3 year prison sentence.
