Temporary closure of 16th Street South near Chase in La Crosse
NEWS RELEASE:
On Wednesday, September 5, 2012, work will begin on a storm sewer project near the intersection of 16th Street & Chase Street. 16th Street South will be closed to through traffic from South Avenue to Horton Street, including the intersection at Chase Street.
The closure is necessary facilitate underground utility work that requires removal of intersection pavement.
Local access will remain open to all homes and businesses in the adjacent blocks for the duration of the project.
All motorists should exercise caution when travelling in the area and be aware of changing traffic patterns.
It is anticipated that the intersection of 16th Street & Chase Street will be closed for up to twelve (12) days, and will be reopened to traffic by Monday, September 17, 2012.
