Thorp, Blair-Taylor hold pep rallies for state-bound basketball teams

BLAIR, Wis. (WEAU) -- Two area schools held pep rallies for their boys basketball teams that are on their way to the WIAA State Tournament.

On Wednesday morning, Blair-Taylor High School and Thorp High School held events for their teams. Cochrane-Fountain City will have a sendoff event for its team on Thursday morning. The teams play semi-final games at the Kohl Center in Madison on Thursday. Thorp takes on Cochrane-Fountain City in a Division 5 game at 3:15 p.m. Blair-Taylor faces Unity in Division 4 at 8:15 p.m.

Elk Mound and Rice Lake also play in separate semi-final games on Friday. Watch SportScene 13 on Friday evening at 6 and 10 for highlights and post-game reaction.
