Three arrested for breaking into convention center

(WEAU) - Three people are arrested after police say they broke into the Ramada Convention Center in Eau Claire.

Officer Kyle Roder says it happened Tuesday morning a little before 2 a.m. He says when police arrived at the Ramada, they found one man outside the convention center, and with the help of a K9 unit, found two more men hiding in a banquet room.

Blake Mares, 18, and Nathan Wolf, 17, of Eau Claire and Jordan Griffith, 20, of Hallie were arrested for burglary and underage drinking.

Roder says it isn’t known why they were breaking in or what they were trying to do.
