NEW INFORMATION: Pickup truck driver in interstate crash dies

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A man who was hurt in a crash involving a semi and a pickup truck has died from his injuries.

On Thursday, the Wisconsin State Patrol identified the pickup truck driver as James Lowder, 67, of Park Ridge, IL. Troopers say he passed away on February 5.

Lowder was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

Eau Claire, Wis. (WEAU) - Crews were on the scene of a semi-crash and fire on I-94 westbound early Monday morning.

The Eau Claire State Patrol says a semi and pick-up truck were involved in a crash just after 3 AM near Elk Mound.

Two people have been taken to the hospital. One person was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, the other has non-life threatening injuries.

One lane of I-94 west bound is is closed to traffic, and you can expect delays.
