CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) – Three people were hurt in a rollover crash west of Chippewa Falls Wednesday.
It happened on State Highway 29, east of County Road F in the Town of Wheaton just before 10 a.m.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department says all three people were in a van going west on Highway 29. That’s when it went into the median, and the driver tried to get the van back onto the pavement. She lost control of the van, and it slid across the westbound lanes, went into the ditch, and flipped.
The 70-year-old driver from Illinois and a woman and teenager from Germany who were riding in the van were all taken to the hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.
It says all three were wearing seat belts and one lane of Highway 29 had to be blocked for an hour while they cleared the crash site.
